OUR MISSION
Noura International’s vision is to demonstrate love and compassion in Mauritania via humanitarian programs. We believe that the Mauritanian people were created with God-given skills and abilities that should be encouraged and developed to influence and transform their families and communities. We believe in the country of Mauritania and desire to see its people grow and develop their full potential.
PROJECTS
Our objective is to work towards breaking cycles of relapse by making the incarceration period a time of rehabilitation and preparation towards re-entry into society. The incarceration time becomes a time for profitable apprenticeship.
MAURITANIA
The country of Mauritania is an Islamic Republic located on the west coast of Africa in the Sahara Desert. It has a population of roughly four million people. The largest part of the Mauritanian terrain is located in the Sahara Desert.
CHRIS LEGGETT
Christopher Leggett was tragically shot by a terrorist gunman in Nouakchott, Mauritania, on the morning of June 23rd 2009. He was a dear husband, father, son and friend. Chris and his family lived and served in Mauritania…
